  • Innovative Energy Deployments

Smarter energy, built for your site.

BallastIQ designs practical energy systems for homes, businesses, and large facilities—bringing storage, solar, power conversion, and monitoring together around the way each site actually works.

    • Protect critical loads
    • Use more on-site solar
    • Manage demand
    • See system performance

What We Do

A better way to build energy systems.

Every site has different loads, priorities, and backup needs. We start there, then build a system that fits.

Plan It Right

We look at how the site uses power, what needs protection, and where storage can make the biggest difference.

Build It Right

We bring the equipment and controls together into a system that is practical to install and straightforward to operate.

Monitor Performance

See how the system is running, spot problems earlier, and make better operating decisions.

Unified Energy Platform

One Connected System

BallastIQ connects the equipment that stores and moves power with the tools that show you what is happening. The result is a more coordinated deployment, clearer day-to-day operation, and a system that is easier to support as the site's needs change.

Energy Storage Solutions

Built for Every Scale

A home looking for dependable backup is a different project from a business managing demand or a facility protecting critical operations. BallastIQ plans each deployment around that real-world use case.

Resilience for Demanding Loads

Protect Critical Power

A data center, production line, or other critical facility cannot treat power as an afterthought. BallastIQ starts with the loads that cannot go dark, the conditions the site must ride through, and the information operators need when something changes.

Monitoring and Operations

See What Your System Is Doing

BallastIQ Integrate brings live status, historical performance, and system events into one clearer view for owners, operators, and support teams.

  • Follow energy flow, production, storage, and site usage over time.
  • See how batteries, inverters, and other connected assets are behaving.
  • Spot changes that may need attention before they become larger issues.

Energy Storage Questions

Straight Answers

How do you determine the right system size?

Sizing starts with interval load data, the critical-load list, the desired outage runtime, existing or planned solar, service constraints, and future expansion. We compare both power and energy requirements rather than choosing a battery by capacity alone.

Can a BallastIQ system work with existing solar?

Often, yes. Compatibility depends on the existing inverter architecture, electrical service, interconnection requirements, and whether the project is best approached as AC-coupled or DC-coupled. Equipment model numbers and a current one-line diagram are the best place to begin.

How long can a battery system provide backup power?

Runtime depends on usable battery capacity and the loads being supported. The same battery will last much longer on a carefully selected critical-load panel than on an entire building. We model the target runtime before equipment is selected and show the tradeoffs between runtime, power, and project cost.

What can the monitoring platform actually show?

Depending on the system configuration, BallastIQ Integrate can show energy flow, solar production, site load, battery state of charge, inverter status, connected asset health, alerts, event history, and performance trends. The goal is to make the system easier to understand and support.
